MarkLogic and Microsoft Office® Integration

MarkLogic sponsors the development of several open-source projects that enable Office integration of MarkLogic Server and Microsoft Office® applications, including toolkits for

Beyond enabling re-use of Microsoft Office® content via MarkLogic Server-based applications, these toolkits can

  • expose this content via powerful MarkLogic search functionality
  • enrich or modify existing content
  • create new content
  • expose new functionality in the GUI of the original Office application

The toolkits also provide simplified access to the OpenXML formats used by Microsoft Office® applications.

In addition, there are two open-source sample authoring applications built on top of the toolkits, one for Microsoft Word® and one for Microsoft PowerPoint®.

And beyond these projects, MarkLogic provides a fully-supported connector for Microsoft SharePoint®.
