Fernando will be giving a talk titled, "Social Networking: Beyond Blogs, Tweets, and Facebook Statuses".  The abstract is:

In this presentation we’ll discuss emerging trends in the social networking sphere that go beyond the traditional tools of today. The session will explore complex communications and social interactions that can help companies generate additional revenue and gain new insights into the users they serve. We will explore a new breed of technology that are making these new set of richer, more sophisticated interactions a reality. We’ll wrap up the session with demos and examples that can spark new ideas for those developing new social-based applications or enhancing their existing applications to take advantage of these new capabilities.
