Chris Biow, MarkLogic Federal CTO, to Speak at Strange Loop
Strange Loop is a developer-run conference. If you're not already planning to attend, checking out the bevy of talks and speakers will make you say, "How come I'm not going to Strange Loop?" The conference's self-description reads:
Innovation, creativity, and the future happen in the magical nexus "between" established areas. Strange Loop eagerly promotes a mix of languages and technologies in this nexus, bringing together the worlds of bleeding edge technology, enterprise systems, and academic research.
MarkLogic Federal CTO, Chris Biow, will be there to talk about the Universal Index, a defining feature of MarkLogic Server that puts it squarely in the nexus "between" NoSQL datastore and full-text search engine. Beyond his talk on the first day, Chris will be participating in Friday's panel on non-relational, NoSQL datastores, along with voices from other NoSQL projects/products including Basho (Riak), 10gen (MongoDB), Cassandra, and Terracotta.
If you'll be there, please make sure to come join us Thursday evening for the Strange Passions Party, which we're sponsoring strangely enough, along with another unstructured information specialist you might have heard of named Google. At the party, there will be 8 Strange passion talks given and a crowd favorite will be chosen and presented with the fabulous prize of a genuine Klein bottle!
